Combining Treatments for Convenience and Less Downtime –
LaseMD Ultra and injectables
By Cynthia Golomb, MD
I often pair cosmetic treatments so that patients can have transformative results more quickly. My patients are often busy and don’t want to return to the office again and again for different procedures, or they want to reduce their downtime.
Before combining treatments, I always ensure the procedures are safe to do one after the other. One example is a same-day treatment with my new 1927 fractional thulium laser (LaseMD Ultra) and injectables like filler or toxin.
A recent two-and-a-half-year study looked at patients who had a LaseMD laser treatment accompanied by either toxin or filler injections at the same visit. Of the 71 same-day combination treatments with toxin injections, there were no adverse reactions. Sixty-one of the paired treatments included filler, also with no undesirable outcomes, such as loss of filler volume or spread. The study reviewed documentation within the first four weeks after the combination treatments.
LaseMD is a non-ablative fractional laser that is safe for all skin types, even for patients with darker skin tones. A LaseMD treatment can be customized to fit your needs – from a light resurfacing to give your skin a glow before a special occasion or to a deeper treatment to address fine lines, pigmentation and mild to moderate sun damage.
