What Are Neuromodulators (Botox, Daxxify, Dysport, Jeuveau, Letybo & Xeomin)?

One important thing to keep in mind: results are not instant. Here’s what to expect by brand:
- Botox — Takes up to two weeks to show full correction
- Dysport, Jeuveau & Xeomin — Typically visible in two to five days
- Letybo — Also tends to take effect faster than Botox
Specialized Toxins for Specific Results
All neuromodulators produce similar results, but if you’re looking for a specific outcome, the right choice can make all the difference:
Daxxify: Longer-Lasting
Daxxify is the first and only peptide-powered frown line treatment, and the only neuromodulator made in the USA. Results last an average of 6 months and up to 9 months in some patients, roughly twice as long as other toxins. It is free of human serum albumin and animal-based components, and clinical trials show no difference in side effects compared to other toxins on the market. 93% of toxin-experienced patients prefer Daxxify. Xeomin and Daxxify are complex, protein-free formulations, which for patients means these toxins may carry a lower risk of immunogenicity. Xeomin is less likely to trigger neutralizing antibodies or a buildup of resistance to the toxin’s effects (treatment failure). Daxxify may theoretically have a similar profile, though that is so far based on shorter-term data.
Letybo: Newer and Quicker
Letybo (letibotulinumtoxinA-wlbg) received FDA approval in 2024 and is approved for use in more than 65 countries. It is the number one neuromodulator in South Korea, where patients have a choice of 15 toxins. It seems to take effect quicker than Botox. Dr. Golomb has found it produces a softer effect on forehead lines, making it an especially attractive option for mature patients at risk of brow drop.
Combining Toxins with Dermal Fillers
